Daredevil vol. 2

"Golden Age pt. 1"
Brian Michael Bendis (writer), Alex Maleev (penciller). Cover by Maleev.
Having been released on early parole after serving decades in prison, Alexander Bont, the predecessor to the Kingpin of Crime vows vengeance on his former defense attorney--Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, who set Bont up to take the fall years ago, and has now declared himself the new Kingpin of Hell's Kitchen.
Maleev's retro 1940s and 1960s-style art are the highlights of this issue, with an appearance by a classic Golden Age hero running a close second. This storyline seems to contradict Marvel's sliding timeline by implying that Matt Murdock has been Daredevil for several decades. If you're willing to ignore that, add an extra star, but the glaring oversight spoils things for me a bit. **1/2 --Cassius
