D'Ken

Jump to: navigation, search

Possibly Deceased.

Real Name: D'Ken Neramani.

The former Majestor (Emperor) of the Shi'Ar Empire, D'Ken led his people through an extremely expansionistic period. As a part of his military campaigns, D'Ken sent out countless scoutships throughout the universe, one of which abducted Kate and Christopher Summers, the parents of Cyclops and Havok. D'Ken sent Christopher to work as a slave in his mines and kept Kate as a concubine, likely fathering the child who would be later known as X-Treme (and who may have been the third Summers brother that Mr. Sinister has hinted at). Christopher attempted to incite a rebellion, and to break him, D'Ken brought Christopher before him and murdered Kate before his eyes. Years later, D'Ken embarked on a quest to access the awesome powers of the M'Krann Crystal. He was opposed by his sister Lillandra, who conscripted the X-Men and the Starjammers (Led by Christopher "Corsair" Summers) to fight on her side. Although they were opposed by the loyal Imperial Guard, the X-men and Starjammers managed to overcome their foes, and D'Ken became catatonic because of the crystal's own defenses. Lillandra succeeded D'Ken to become Majestrix, and the Imperial Guard are now loyal to her. Whether or not D'Ken is still alive through life support systems is unknown, but it has been implied that he was allowed to die.
